Dr Richard Šípek is the head of the Department of Manuscripts and Early Prints in the National Museum Library and assistant professor at the Institute of Librarianship and Information Studies (Charles University), focused on the book provenance research and history of libraries. During the last eight years he has devoted his interest, time and energy to the development of the Database of Book Owners PROVENIO.
