Miha Kovač is a professor of publishing studies at the University of Ljubljana. He is the author of a set of academic books and papers on publishing and reading in English and Slovene. His English-language publications include Never Mind the Web: Here Comes the Book (Chandos, 2008), two chapters in The Oxford Handbook on Publishing (co-authorship) on trade and educational publishing, and a special issue of First Monday (co-edited with Adriaan van der Weel), devoted to differences between print and screen reading, which was translated into Spanish. In the last five years, he was a member of Eread, a network of European reading researchers, where he served as a dissemination officer. In autumn 2020, he published his first mass-market book Berem, da se poberem, which was shortlisted for the Slovene Book of the Year award and climbed to the Slovene bestseller list.
